A Message from the AdministratorI realize that this calendar is sometimes updated a bit late, and I apologize. But we have been continually receiving some rather rude, nasty and unchristian messages from a few people (that we will keep anonymous) who are apparently upset over our lateness in updating this site. Despite being in the season of Advent, these e-mails are getting more and more nasty. Please be aware that we have NEVER asked for a penny from anyone to establish and/or maintain this site, and we NEVER will. There are no pledges, advertisements, or financial requests of any kind. We do this as a ministry in our spare time, with funds from our own pockets in order to support our holy priests. We are busy people who support jobs, families, fund raisers, parish ministries, and our parish's Catholic school. We are making sure that we meet all of our commitments in life. We do not appreciate being derided and insulted via cowardly anonymous e-mails (even though in the past you sent your name -- yes, I'm talking to you). I am not very good at being a victim, so please stop the insults. I don't want to filter e-mails from the public because we sometimes get some encouraging, helpful, and heart-wrenching e-mails from fellow catholic and non-catholic christians. So please don't force me to make this a site requiring usernames and passwords or block certain IP addresses. It was always intended to be an open site. But I'm getting a bit tired of the hate mail. If you want to have a dialogue, then I would love to hear from you, but lobbing insults over a ministry website is a bit tiresome. I do, however, appreciate friendly reminders to update the calendars. In fact, a week before an update is needed, a simple and friendly e-mail reminding me to update the site would be a welcome and helpful insight. So I thank you in advance for your help in this regard. For those of you who support this site and its ministry, thank you. I appreciate feedback. Without feedback, the site will never improve. Merry Christmas to all our supporters. Sincererly, The Administrator December 1st, 2010 |
